Using the brainstorming from class this week, choose ONE compelling essay topic from your lists. Then produce a 1-2 page draft. This can be rough but MUST be crafted.
- This is not a free-write. Use the “10 College Essay Tips” to guide your writing.
- Tip #3 is crucial. Write the essay that only you can write.
- Re-read Walls’ Woman on the Street for examples of brevity, honesty and vivid detail.
- Bring a printed copy of your draft to class on Tuesday 9/4. You will be using it.
- This is a 50 point formative.
